Modular and Intensive Training
~
Why train in IPC?
Fact: Both private clients and the NHS are increasingly
looking for practitioners able to apply brief and focussed
approaches. This knowledge can make the difference between
gaining a new client (or getting a new job) or losing it.
Solution: IPC consists of a 15-step programme.
-
Fact: Some clients find it difficult to take time off work on
a regular basis and over a period of time of several months.
This can discourage them from beginning or continuing
their therapeutic process.
Solution: IPC can be applied intensively (i.e. 3-hour or
half-day sessions) so the whole programme can be
delivered in just a few meetings.
-
Fact: Clients are more likely to agree on paying higher
fees when the counselling work is presented as a clear
and time-limited model.
Solution: IPC will increase the value of your time and your income.
-
Fact: Some clients don't like following a rigid time-schedule
or they often travel for work.
Solution: IPC is an extremely flexible model which allows
for time-gaps during the person care process.
-
Fact: Yo are much more motivated and effective in your
work when you see people get better as a result of your imput.
Solution: With IPC you don't have to wait months to see some
sign of improvement in your clients. They usually start getting
significantly better after the first few meetings.
-
Fact: Clients ask for practical and easy to apply therapeutic tools.
Solution: IPC addresses the physiological, emotional, behavioural
and rational components of the person in your care and utilses a
number of simple and effective techniques.
